Coaching Team

At Southampton Archery Club we have a very strong coaching team led by our head coach Martin Oakley.

Most of our coaches shoot multiple bow types and the coaching team meet regularly to discuss coaching course content and to encourage the development and improvement of all members within the club.

We run regular beginner courses throughout the year. These offer a chance to try the sport and following completion of the course, the opportunity to join the club and continue to develop your archery skills. After joining the club, more detailed post-beginners courses and workshops are available which are designed to take your skills to the next level and help you to progress further and start achieving your first awards and classifications.

We also run intermediate and performance courses which offer very focussed coaching to help individuals improve their technique and reach their goals.

Our coaching team also work individually on a 1-to-1 basis with archers, please approach a member of the coaching team if you would like help with something specific or to discuss regular coaching to further your technique.
